Thank you for taking the time to explore these exciting opportunities, working for our forward-thinking and truly innovative councils. Lewes and Eastbourne have been sharing services for a number of years now, and as we emerge out of the Coronavirus pandemic, we find ourselves at a crucial point in our Recovery and Reset journey. The roles we are advertising here are all critical to ensuring we are successful in that journey. They span a range of service areas and have varied responsibilities and requirements so please spend some time looking at the information on the site and understanding not only the roles that we have available but also the fantastic benefits of working for Lewes and Eastbourne councils.

What is it like working at Lewes District and Eastbourne Borough Councils?

“I have worked for Lewes District and Eastbourne Borough Councils, ICT department for many years. I am dedicated to my role as the Business Applications Manager, leading the Applications Management team, which acts as a second line escalation from initial Service Desk contact. It is a varied and interesting role and I feel really valued.

The councils are a diverse organisation delivering a wide range of services and employing people with an even broader range of skills. It provides excellent training and career development opportunities, including support towards professional qualifications, which I took up. Some of the benefits include hybrid flexible working arrangements including work from home, generous annual leave entitlement and access to the Local Government pension scheme. There are also other benefits including health and wellbeing initiatives and a confidential employee assistance programme.
